The science of sound and state.

Sound shapes attention, arousal and mood. We build on that, and we test what we build.

WHAT'S ESTABLISHED

Sound moves focus, alertness and mood.

The effect of sound on focus, alertness and mood is one of the better-studied areas in the psychology of perception. We didn't discover it, and we don't claim to have.

WHAT WE'RE TESTING

Two questions, because they can fail separately.

01 — THE READ

Does the read match reality?

02 — THE SOUND

Does the sound move your state the way it intends to?

Work is underway on the first, in the study context. We'll publish what it finds.

WHAT WE DON'T CLAIM

Three lines we hold.

We don't claim entrainment.

We don't say our sound synchronises brain rhythm, because we haven't tested it.

We're not a medical device.

Prism doesn't treat anything.

We don't claim certainty.

The engine estimates, it's sometimes wrong, and it's built around that.

A DISTINCTION WE BUILD TO

Rooms are different from people.

Some parts of state are meaningful across a group. Some belong to an individual and don't survive being averaged. We build to that line.
